About our Members

AOBTA membership levels are based on the degree and extent of the member's training by qualified instructors and mentors. A Student Member is one who joins at the outset of their training and may continue at this level for 3 years as long as they are actively in training. An Associate Member is one who has completed at least 150 hours and a minimum of 100 treatments under qualified supervision. A Certified Practitioner (OBT) has completed an approved program including a minimum of 500 hours and not less than 70 hours clinical experience. A Certified Instructor is one with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Practitioner who completes an interview testing process with the Education Board of the national organization. We are very proud of our members; they are dedicated individuals who have diligently pursued continuing education in these complementary healing arts.
